Charge Anywhere Certified With ID Tech Augusta S EMV

Two leaders in POS services have partnered their software to provide more certified solutions for vendors. Charge Anywhere and ID TECH have paired their Quicksale software and Augusta S EMV & Mag Stripe Reader, respectively, to the First Data Rapid Connect platform.

Quicksale was given an EMV Level 3 certification, allowing point of sale devices to use First Data platforms along with the ID TECH hardware. With certification, 13 new EMV hardware products are available for merchants to utilize, creating versatility in e-commerce and payment options.

There are 3 levels of the testing process; Levels 1 and 2 are known as Type Approval

• Level 1 evaluates the physical hardware capabilities of a payment card or device and ensures its electro-mechanical components meet the required specifications.
• Level 2 looks at firmware interactions between the card and terminal, focused on the terminal side, by a component called the ‘EMV Kernel’.
• Level 3 can be completed with your approved hardware, software and payment application in place.
